The internationally acclaimed Syracuse Children’s Chorus has performed from Carnegie Hall to China, serving as Central New York’s musical ambassadors to the world. Founded at Syracuse University in 1981 by Barbara M. Tagg, the Chorus is recognized for musical excellence and as a model for performance-based choral music education.

Holiday Carols at the Nutcracker
Kantorei choristers will sing holiday songs and carols prior to the Syracuse City Ballet performance of the Nutcracker on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Mulroy Civic Center at Oncenter. Arrive early for the performance to enjoy holiday favorites performed by members of the Syracuse Children’s Chorus. Choristers will perform at 6:15pm with the Nutcracker beginning at 7:00pm. Light the Night
The Nine Lessons and Carols concludes with a candle-lit performance of Stille Nacht, as Chorale chorister surround the audience for this holiday favorite. For a small donation, this performance can be dedicated in honor or in memory of a loved one.

Join us on Monday, November 14th at 6:15pm for a free preview performance of our December concert, The Nine Lessons and Carols! As part of an event hosted by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, Chorale choristers will be performing outside the upper level entrance of Lord & Taylor at Carousel Mall.
